To commemorate a half-century of the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department, Palm Tran has released a new bus wrap that features panoramic pictures of local parks. The Board of County Commissioners, Administration, Palm Tran, and Parks and Recreation staff marked the celebration by posing in front of the bus on July 12, at the Governmental Center.
In addition to the bus wrap, Parks and Recreation Department Director Eric Call announced that the festivities will include a 70s themed 5K race. The department is also putting together a time capsule that will be opened in 50 years. It will include mementos of the department’s 50th anniversary.
