partnership with Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful, Inc., has received a $20,000
grant to fund a shade and beautification project at Carlin Park in Jupiter. The
grant was made possible through a gift from Lowe's and will pay for the purchase
and planting of Live Oak, Sea Grape, and Green and Silver Buttonwood trees along
the popular exercise trail. "Facilitating health and wellness
opportunities is a core service of the Parks and Recreation Department," said
Eric Call, Director of the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department.
“I’m very appreciative of Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful and Lowe's for the
grant funding that will enable the exercise trail, already popular during the
cooler morning and evening hours, to be utilized all day long in the comfort of
the shade." Creating opportunities for healthy, happy
living, the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department operates more than
80 regional, district, community, beach, and neighborhood parks, spanning
several thousand acres. For low-cost, often free, leisure opportunities
