Palm Beach Coralytes Featured in July "Parks & Recreation" Magazine

Body

The Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department's photo submission of the Palm Beach Coralytes Synchronized Swim Team at Aqua Crest Pool was awarded second place in a nationwide magazine cover contest hosted by the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA). The photo, taken by Coralytes team member Rebecca Rojas, was the only finalist from Florida and one of only 12 across the nation.

Voters made their choice by liking the photo on NRPA's Facebook page. The Coralytes photo received more than 2,000 likes and was shared more than 275 times during the five-day contest. It is featured on page 2 of the July Parks & Recreation magazine. It was a narrow race right to the end and every vote made a difference. Thank you to all who helped.

The Palm Beach Coralytes are the oldest and most recognized competitive swim team in Palm Beach County. The Palm Beach Coralytes team is ranked sixth nationally and is led by Head Coach Caroline Karolinko. The team is sanctioned by U.S. Synchronized Swimming (USSS) and sponsored by The Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department.

Aqua Crest Pool is operated by Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation and is located at 2503 Seacrest Boulevard in Delray Beach.
