Join officials from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation in Lake Worth on October 20 as they award a grant check in the amount of $19,500 to the Endless Possibilities for the Disabled organization, a local group that provides adapted sports and recreation for persons with physical disabilities in Palm Beach and Martin Counties. The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex located in John Prince Park at 2728 Lake Worth Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461.

The night will include a speech from Alan T. Brown, the Director of Public Impact with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, as well as Endless Possibilities, and a check presentation and a photo shoot with athletes from Endless Possibilities, showcasing the six basketball wheelchairs purchased using grant money awarded to the organization to ensure better physical and emotional health of those living with physical disabilities.

Endless Possibilities and its nearly 100 members were recently awarded a grant from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation to purchase the basketball wheelchairs, as well as pay for Ice Time for the Sled Hockey team.

There will be great visual aspects for those who choose to cover this event, as well as a human interest story that speaks to Palm Beach County locals, especially those struggling with physical disabilities. Representatives from the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department will also be on-hand for interviews.

Endless Possibilities is a non-profit group that provides social experiences through sports and recreation to improve the quality of life for persons living with disabilities. Their sports include boccia, goalball, handcycling, power soccer, sitting volleyball, sled hockey, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby, and are often played at Palm Beach County’s Therapeutic Recreation Complex in Lake Worth.

The CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex is owned and operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department. For more leisure opportunities, visit www.pbcparks.com.
