All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated. Please call (561) 629-8760 or visit the nature center to make program reservations. Fees (if applicable) are due the day of the program by cash or check only. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form for every program. If you are more than 5 minutes late to a program for which you have made a reservation, your spot may be given to a person on the waiting list.

ANIMAL FEEDINGS
Daily, 3:15-3:30 p.m.
All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)
3:15 p.m. is feeding time! Listen to a short talk about one of Daggerwing’s resident animals and then watch while it’s fed. Wednesday - Opossum; Thursday - Snake; Friday - Owl; Saturday - Alligator

MOTHER NATURE & ME: SNAKES
Tuesday, December 5, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-5 (w/ guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)
Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!

DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: SNAKES
Tuesday, December 12, 3:30 p.m.
Ages 5+, FREE (Reservations required) 
Enjoy a special program about snakes featuring a visit from the nature center’s resident animal ambassadors, at the Glades Road Branch Library! Call the Glades Road Branch Library for details and to RSVP at (561) 482-4554.

BIRDING 101
Saturday, December 16, 10:30 a.m.
All ages, $3/person (Reservations required)
Learn about the exciting hobby of bird watching! Join a naturalist for a family friendly program that will teach how to identify birds with the use of binoculars and field guides. Then enjoy a tour along the boardwalk to practice learned birding skills.

MOTHER NATURE & ME: BOARDWALK EXPLORERS
Tuesday, December 19, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-5 (w/ guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)

INTRO TO ORIENTEERING 
Friday, December 22, 10:00 a.m. (No School Day)
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Join a naturalist and learn how to navigate using a map and compass! Participants will then get to practice the directional skills they learn on a fun, outside adventure course. Please bring a water bottle, sun protection, and closed-toed shoes.  

SENSATIONAL SNAKES
Saturday, December 30, 10:30 a.m.
All ages, $3/participant (Reservations required)
Learn all about snakes from a naturalist including how to identify the most common snakes found in southern Florida. After, meet some of the nature center’s slithering residents up close!
