March 2018 Program Guide at Okeeheelee Nature Center

All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated. Please call (561) 233-1400 or visit the nature center to make program reservations. Please make reservations at least two days in advance. Fees (if applicable) are due upon arrival to the program by form of cash or check. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form for every program. If you are more than five minutes late to a program you have made a reservation for, your spot will be given to a person on the waiting list.

REPTILE FEEDING
Wednesdays, 3:15 p.m. & Saturdays, 1:00 p.m.
Families/all ages, FREE (No reservations required)

OWL FEEDING
Thursdays, 4:00 p.m. 
Families/all ages, FREE (No reservations required)

OKEEHEELEE AFTER HOURS PRESENTS: ART AFTER DARK
Friday, March 9, 7:00 p.m.
Ages 8+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
This special opportunity to visit Okeeheelee Nature Center after hours is back! For this program, enjoy a short walk in the forest by the nature center to view the trails at twilight. Then, get artistic by drawing one of our live animal ambassadors. Please wear close-toed shoes, and bring bug spray.

ARCHERY FOR BEGINNERS
Saturday, March 10, 9:30 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/person (Reservations required)
Learn the basics of archery from safety to shooting and develop a great new skill during this two-hour program. Equipment is provided. Please wear close-toed shoes, and bring water and sun protection.

SPECIAL EVENT: RAPTOR DAY 
Saturday, March 17, 8:30 a.m. 
All ages, $25/participant (Reservations required) 
Friends of Okeeheelee Nature Center host this special event for photographers of all experience levels. Come out and photograph the nature center’s educational raptors such as hawks, owls, and falcons up-close in a natural outdoor setting. 

NATURE WALK
Saturday, March 24, 10:30 a.m.
Families/all ages, FREE (No reservations required)
Go on a FREE guided nature walk through the pine flatwoods ecosystem and learn about the plants and animals that live right here in the local community.
