VSA Florida - Palm Beach County will host its 21st annual golf tournament on Friday, May 18, 2018. The event will be held at Old Marsh Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens. This is the only fundraising event hosted by this prestigious private course.
The VSAFL Katie Gardner Memorial Golf Tournament is in memory of Katie Gardner, a charming young lady with an incredible artistic talent who participated in many VSAFL programs and exemplified the strength, character and courage of a VSAFL artist.
This year’s VSAFL artist Vincent Kowalski will carry on the tradition that Katie Gardner was once a part of by creating the artwork for each participating sponsor’s award. Vincent, an artist with VSAFL for many years, has participated in glass fusing, pottery, photography, acrylic and watercolor painting and thoroughly enjoys being creative through the arts.
The entry fee of $1,400 per foursome for the scramble format golf tournament includes greens fees, prizes, awards, golf shirts, breakfast and lunch. Call Cindy Pijanowski at 561-966-7025 to register.
All funds raised through the tournament and silent auction will go towards providing visual and performing arts programs for children and adults with disabilities throughout Palm Beach County.
Golf committee members include Bill Gardner, Kelly Gardner, Mac Hood, Joe Lambert, Tony Lofaso, Mike Lyons, Cindy Pijanowski, Erica Russell, Stacy Staebell, Sharon Tarlow, and Holly Teruggi. This years Chairpersons are Dr. Anthony Caruso and Kirk Stetson.
