The artwork is a visually striking and elegant compliment to the adjacent architecture. The underlying geometry of the robust aluminum structure creates a form reminiscent a "guidepost" that provides direction, and is a welcoming sign on an unfamiliar road. The towering sculpture acts as a beacon, commanding the attention of visitors.

The almost 150 fused glass panels depict diverse aspects and experiences of Palm Beach County. Abstractions of the beaches, waterways, lakes, Everglades and Atlantic Ocean are interspersed throughout the sculpture with artistic depictions of the area’s entertainment, sports and culture. Playful interpretations of the area’s flora and fauna are also represented, creating a lively expression of the spirit of Palm Beach County.
