Palm Beach County officials will be honoring service member Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 (CW2) Jonathan R. Farmer on Saturday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Lytal Park in West Palm Beach.

CW2 Farmer, a graduate of the Benjamin School in 1999, was killed in action in Syria on January 16. He was born in Boynton Beach and later grew up in Palm Beach Gardens.

The ceremony will include the unveiling of CW2 Farmer’s name, which has been etched on the Global War on Terror memorial, which stands at the center of the Armed Forces Park plaza. The memorial, originally dedicated on July 4, 2005, honors brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.
