County Wins National Award for Video Series

Body

The Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department was selected as the recipient of a 2019 National Association of County Park and Recreation Officials (NACPRO) award in the Marketing category for the department’s Destination Recreation video series. Destination Recreation is a video production that takes viewers through different parks and facilities, explaining amenities, history, and giving a behind-the-scenes look at how staff contribute to overall visitor experience. The series is created entirely in-house and includes a host, narration and staff interviews.

The NACPRO Marketing award recognizes a marketing effort demonstrating unique, significant, or exceptional outcomes. The award will be accepted at the NACPRO Summer Meeting in Castle Rock, Colorado on Sunday, June 9 during the annual Awards Banquet, which recognizes and honors excellence in parks and recreation at the county, regional, and special district level throughout the nation.

“Recognition by the National Association of County Park and Recreation Officials will spark interest in Palm Beach County from visitors all over the world and will serve to inspire other park and recreation agencies to push their marketing efforts to the next level,” said Chris Korbelak, Office of Public Engagement Manager.

The Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department, recognized nationally for excellence in park and recreation management, operates more than 110 parks and recreational facilities and provides organized recreational programs and services for people of all ages and abilities.
