The Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department was selected by Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) as the winner of the 2019 American Health+Wellness Design Awards for its 2018 Annual Report.

The publication celebrates a particularly memorable year and the unique design commemorates the Department’s acceptance of the National Gold Medal Award for excellence in the field of park and recreation management, the highest honor a park and recreation agency can achieve. Filled with colorful photos and intriguing testimonials, the report is a celebration of the Department’s status as the best park and recreation agency in the U.S.A. and provides stakeholders with a visually appealing snapshot of 2018.
The publication was designed in house and printed through the Public Affairs Department’s Graphics Division. The entire report can be viewed online.

For five decades, GDUSA has presented competitions that focus on areas of growth and opportunity for graphic design. The 2019 awards focus on health and wellness, the fastest-growing segment of the economy and the epicenter of the national conversation. This competition takes in the big picture of healthcare: traditional medical industries; mental health and counseling; healthy lifestyles; and public health and community education initiatives.
