All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated.  Please register online at www.pbcparks.com; under “Online Services” click on Register/Pay for Program, or visit the nature center to register and make payment.  All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form at the start of every program.

ANIMAL FEEDINGS
Daily, 3:15-3:30 p.m.
All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)
3:15 p.m. is feeding time! Listen to a short talk about one of Daggerwing’s resident animals and then watch while it’s fed. Wednesday - Opossum; Thursday - Snake; Friday - Owl; Saturday - Alligator

FISHING FUN
Friday, January 3, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Learn the basics of freshwater fishing! Class includes fishing pole basics, casting tips, and freshwater fish identification. All fishing supplies are provided. Please bring a water bottle, sun protection, and closed-toed shoes that can get wet/muddy.

MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ARTIST
Saturday, January 4, 1:00 p.m.
All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)
Meet Peggie “Batia” Lowenberg, the artist exhibiting in the Art Gallery during the month of January, to discuss her creative interpretation of nature on display. 

MOTHER NATURE & ME: HOPPY NEW YEAR
Tuesday, January 7, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-5 (w/guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)
Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!

ANIMAL TRIVIA
Saturday, January 11, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 5+, $3/participant (Reservations required)
Meet several of the nature center’s live animals up close while playing a game to test your knowledge about some of their common animal myths.

DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: OWLS
Tuesday, January 14, 3:30 p.m.
Ages 8+, FREE (Reservations required)
Enjoy a special program featuring a visit from some of the nature center’s resident animal ambassadors, at the West Boca Branch Library! Call the West Boca Branch Library for details and RSVP at (561) 470-1600.

INTRO TO ORIENTEERING 
Saturday, January 25, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Join a naturalist and learn how to navigate using a map and compass! Participants will then get to practice the directional skills they learn on a fun, outside adventure course. Please bring a water bottle, sun protection, and closed-toed shoes.

TODDLER TIME YOGA 
Tuesday, January 28, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-5 (w/guardian), $5/child (Reservations required- only by calling the nature center, 561-629-8760)
Yoga for preschool children teaches breathing, stretching, mind and body relaxation, and easy yoga poses through carefully designed activities. Incorporating play, dance, and acting out stories, children learn healthy techniques for lifelong wellness while having fun. Bring a yoga mat and wear skid guard socks.
