All programs are by reservation only.  Fee programs require payment at the time of registration/reservation. You can register and pay online at www.pbcparks.com. Please select “Online Services”, choose “Register/Pay for Program” from the drop-down menu, click the “Nature” icon, and then search for the program by name. You must login or create a new household account before registering. Programs will adhere to all state, county orders and CDC guidelines.

ARCHERY FOR BEGINNERS
Tuesday, February 9, 9:30 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Learn the basics of archery from safety to shooting and develop a great new skill. All equipment is provided. Space is limited.

NATURE JOURNALING
Saturday, February 13, 9:30 a.m.
Ages 8+, $3/participant (Reservations required)
Join a naturalist in a guided art and writing experience to heighten your awareness and appreciation of nature. The goal of nature journaling and sketching is to answer the question, “What is going on outside today?” With a few basic skills and an inquisitive attitude, participants will be able to answer this question with words and art.

OWL PROWL
Friday, February 19, 5:30 p.m. 
Ages 6+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Meet a couple of our resident owls up-close and learn more about other animals that prowl our forest after dark. Then we’ll look for wildlife on a moonlight hike and make s’mores around the campfire! 

BIRDING 101
Wednesday, February 24, 9:00 a.m.
Ages 15+, $3/participant (Reservations required)
Learn to identify South Florida birds using visual cues and by applying the basic steps that will lead you to a proper ID. Our avian ambassadors will serve as models as we discuss characteristic such as foot and beak shape, flight silhouettes, coloration, diet, and habitat preferences. Then you’ll apply your new found knowledge during a birding walk.  

GUIDED NATURE WALK
Saturday, February 27, 10:30 a.m.
Families/all ages, FREE (Reservations required)
Join a naturalist for a guided nature walk through our pine flatwoods forest and learn about the animals and plants that live in this habitat. Please bring binoculars if you have them.
