All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated. Please call (561) 233-1400 or visit the nature center to make program reservations. Please make reservations at least 2 days in advance. Fees (if applicable) are due upon arrival to the program. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form for every program. If you are more than 5 minutes late to a program you have made a reservation for, your spot will be given to a person on the waiting list.

DEER & RAPTOR WALK
Saturday, October 8, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 6+, $3/participant (Reservations required)
Go on a “behind the scenes” tour of the deer and raptor compounds for an opportunity to see the animals up close and learn about these unique creatures. Please note: This program is not stroller or wheelchair accessible. Program length is approximately 1 hour.

STORY TIME
Tuesday, October 11, 10:00 a.m.
Ages 2-5, $2/child (Reservations required)
This program includes activities, songs, and stories. During this session, learn all about fish and enjoy a fun fish craft to take home. Program length is approximately ½ hour.

OKEEHEELEE AFTER HOURS PRESENTS: ART AFTER DARK
Friday, October 21, 7:00 p.m.

Ages 8+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
This special opportunity to visit Okeeheelee Nature Center after hours is back! Participants will be exposed to the beauty of twilight and use several of the nature center owls as models for creation of their own artwork.

NATURE WALK
Saturday, October 22, 10:30 a.m.
Families/All ages, FREE (No reservations required)
Go on a FREE guided nature walk through the Pine Flatwoods forest and learn about the plants and animals that live right here in the local community.

STORY TIME
Tuesday, October 25, 10:00 a.m.
Ages 2-5, $2/child (Reservations required)
Go ‘batty’ with this perfect program about bats. This program also includes songs and a special bat craft to take home. Program length is approximately ½ hour.

ARCHERY FOR BEGINNERS
Saturday, October 29, 9:30 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/person (Reservations required)
Learn the basics of archery from safety to shooting and develop a great new skill during this 2-hour program. Equipment is provided, and space is limited. Please wear close-toed shoes, and bring water and sun protection.

ARCHERY OPEN RANGE
Saturday, October 29, 1:30 p.m.
Ages 8+, $10/person (Reservations required)
*Prerequisite: Must have completed the Archery for Beginners course at Okeeheelee Nature Center.
Here is the chance to practice those new-found archery skills! This expansion of the archery program will offer participants new challenges and allow them to work on precision and accuracy with a compound bow. Equipment is provided, and space is limited. Please wear close-toed shoes, and bring water and sun protection.
