All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated.  Please register online at www.pbcparks.com; under “Online Services” click on Register/Pay for Program, or visit the nature center to register and make payment. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form and COVID-19 Waiver before each program.  

BUTTERFLY GARDENING
Saturday, November 13, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 5+, $3/participant (Reservations required)
Learn all about native butterflies and discover how to attract them with a butterfly garden. Find out which plants are best at attracting a multitude of species and enjoy a guided tour of Daggerwing Nature Center’s butterfly garden.

MOTHER NATURE & ME: THANKSGIVING WITH THE ANIMALS
Tuesday, November 16, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-5 (w/guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)
Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!

DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY VIRTUALLY: INSECTS & SPIDERS
Tuesday, November 16, 3:30 p.m.
Ages 8+, FREE (Reservations required)
Enjoy a special virtual program featuring the nature center’s resident animal ambassadors! Call the Glades Road Branch Library for details and RSVP at (561) 482-4554.

GEOLOGY ROCKS  
Saturday, November 20, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 8+, $3/person (Reservations required)
Join a naturalist to learn amazing geology facts including how rocks form, the three categories of rocks, and techniques for identification. Through hands-on exploration of beautiful rocks and minerals, participants will discover the wonders of geology!  

FISHING FUN
Wednesday, November 24, 10:00 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Learn the basics of freshwater fishing! Class includes fishing pole basics, casting tips, and freshwater fish identification. All fishing supplies are provided. Please bring a water bottle, sun protection, and closed-toed shoes that can get wet/muddy.
