All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated. Please call 561-629-8760 or visit the nature center to make program reservations. Fees (if applicable) are due the day of the program by cash or check only. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form for every program. If you are more than 5 minutes late to a program for which you have made a reservation, your spot may be given to a person on the waiting list.
 
ANIMAL FEEDINGS
Daily, 3:15-3:30 p.m.
All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)
3:15 p.m. is feeding time! Listen to a short talk about one of Daggerwing's resident animals and then watch while it's fed. Wednesday - Alligator; Thursday - Snake; Friday - Skunk; Saturday - Alligator

MOTHER NATURE & ME: OWLS
Tuesday, November 1, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-5 (w/ guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)
Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!
 
WETLAND ANIMALS
Saturday, November 5, 10:30 a.m.
All Ages, $3/participant (Reservations required)
Wetland habitats are important to a wide variety of animals!  Learn about animals that live in the wetlands and how they are adapted for life in this habitat.  Live collection animals will be featured during the presentation to enhance the educational experience!   

MOTHER NATURE & ME: SKUNK LUNCH
Tuesday, November 15, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-5 (w/ guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)

DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: SNAKES
Tuesday, November 15, 3:30 p.m.
Ages 5-10, FREE (Reservations required)
Enjoy a special program about snakes featuring a visit from one of the nature center's resident animal ambassadors, at the West Boca Branch Library! Call the West Boca Branch Library for details and to RSVP at  561-470-1600.
 
FISHING FUN
Wednesday, November 23, 10:00 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations Required)
Learn the basics of freshwater fishing and practice new learned skills. Class includes: fishing pole basics, casting tips, and freshwater fish identification. All fishing supplies are provided. Please bring a water bottle, sun protection, and closed-toed shoes (or water shoes) that can get wet/muddy.

Daggerwing Nature Center is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and is located in Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park at 11435 Park Access Road, off Cain Boulevard between Glades Road and Yamato Road, west of Boca Raton.
