At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on May 7, 2024, Commissioner Barnett presented a proclamation declaring May 2024 as Mental Health Awareness and Trauma-Informed Care Month in Palm Beach County. Mental health is essential to overall well-being, and it is important to recognize that everyone experiences times of stress and struggles. The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners recognizes the impact of awareness and education, access to services and the importance of mental well-being to a person’s success and supports the implementation of trauma-informed approaches throughout the systems of care.
