All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated.  Please register online at www.pbcparks.com​; under “Online Services” click on Register/Pay for Program, or visit the nature center to register and make payment. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program.  

MOTHER NATURE & ME: B IS FOR BAT
Tuesday, October 4, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-5 (w/guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)
Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!

ANIMAL KEEPER FOR A DAY
Wednesday, October 5, 10:00 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Animal keepers have the coolest job! Work behind the scenes with animal care staff and volunteers to feed, clean exhibits, and provide enrichments to the animals at the nature center. Learn what it takes to care for these special animal ambassadors.

DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: ALLIGATORS
Tuesday, October 11, 3:30 p.m.
Ages 5+, FREE (Reservations required)
Enjoy a special program about alligators featuring a visit from some of the nature center’s resident animal ambassadors, at the West Boca Branch Library! Call the West Boca Branch Library for details and RSVP at (561) 470-1600.

DIP NETTING
Friday, October 14, 10:00 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Find out what creatures naturally live in the water of our wetlands! Collect tiny pond animals and then observe and identify your findings. Please bring a water bottle, sun protection, and closed-toed shoes that can get wet/muddy.

CREEPY CRITTERS
Saturday, October 22, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 5+, $3/participant (Reservations required)
Do spiders make you jump? Do snakes make you scream? You can meet some live animals that many people consider creepy, and learn how these creatures are uniquely special and important to the environment.

HOOT & HOWL
Friday, October 28, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)
Bring the kids in costume and enjoy not-so-scary Halloween games and crafts* while learning about nocturnal creatures such as owls, toads, snakes and spiders! Remember to bring a flashlight and bug spray to continue the adventure outside along the boardwalk at night! *While supplies last.
