All programs are by online reservation only, unless otherwise stated. Please register online at www.pbcparks.com​ under “Online Services” click on Register/Pay for Program, or visit the nature center to register and make payment. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program. Activities promote environmental awareness, conservation, and recreation.

LIVE ANIMAL FEEDING PRESENTATIONS
Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 3:30 p.m.

ALLIGATOR FEEDING
Saturdays, 1:00 p.m. 
Families/all ages, FREE (No reservations required)

GOPHER TORTOISE DAY
Saturday, April 8, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Families/all ages, FREE (No reservations needed)
Join us to celebrate our preserve’s most unique inhabitant—the Gopher tortoise! We will have walks, displays, and activities focused on this threatened species. Enjoy story time for young children, tortoise habitat hikes, and meet-and-greets with our ambassador tortoise, Sparky. Participation is free thanks to a grant from the Gopher Tortoise Council and Friends of Okeeheelee Nature Center. 
 
ONC VISITS THE LIBRARY: TURTLEY TUESDAY
Tuesday, April 11, 3:00-3:45 p.m.
Ages 5-12, FREE (Pre-registration required**)
Join ONC Naturalists at the Wellington Library and learn about native turtles from the land and water. From tortoises to terrapins, this program is guaranteed to be “turtley” awesome with a variety of live turtle species! **Call the Wellington Branch Library at 561-790-6070 or visit www.pbclibrary.org to pre-register for this program.

EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
Saturday, April 22, 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Families/all ages, FREE (No reservations needed)
One of the most important milestones in conservation history is Earth Day! Join Okeeheelee Nature Center for a fabulous and family friendly event that is FREE to the public. From eco-friendly crafts and activities to food trucks and live animal presentations, come and explore all the nature center has to offer since its opening in 1992.

POLLINATOR PLANT WALK
Friday, April 28, 10:00-11:30 a.m. 
Families/all ages, $3/participant (Reservations required)
Join the South Florida team, as we participate in the 2023 City Nature Challenge and compete for the most species documented! Learn how to use iNaturalist and become a citizen scientist with our team of naturalists as they lead you on a guided nature walk, focused on observing and documenting our native pollinators and the plants they need to survive. 

ARCHERY FOR BEGINNERS
Saturday, April 29, 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. 
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Join USA Archery certified instructors and learn the basics of archery, from safety to shooting, and develop a great new skill! All equipment is provided. Space is limited and sign up now before it fills up!

CITY NATURE CHALLENGE 2023: SOUTH FLORIDA #CNCSOFLO  
April 28—May 1, 2023
Palm Beach County is joining in on the City Nature Challenge this year! Help us show off South Florida's amazing biodiversity by photographing wildlife, plants and any other living organisms you can find and posting those findings on iNaturalist at www.inaturalist.org/projects/city-nature-challenge-2023-south-florida-cncsoflo.
