All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated. Please call 561-629-8760 or visit the nature center to make program reservations. Fees (if applicable) are due the day of the program by cash or check only. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form for every program. If you are more than 5 minutes late to a program for which you have made a reservation, your spot may be given to a person on the waiting list. 

ANIMAL FEEDINGS
Daily, 3:15-3:30 p.m.
All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)
3:15 p.m. is feeding time! Listen to a short talk about one of Daggerwing’s resident animals and then watch while it’s fed. Wednesday - Alligator; Thursday - Snake; Friday - Owl; Saturday - Alligator

MOTHER NATURE & ME: ANIMAL BABIES
Tuesday, December 6, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-5 (w/ guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)
Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!

ANIMAL FACT OR FICTION
Saturday, December 10, 10:30 a.m.
All ages, $3/participant (Reservations required)
Play a fun game of trivia to learn the truth about many common animal myths and meet several of the nature center’s live education animals.

DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: OWL

Ages 5-10, FREE (Reservations required)
Enjoy a special program about owls featuring a visit from Shadow, the nature center’s resident animal ambassador, at the Glades Road Branch Library! Call the Glades Road Branch Library for details and to RSVP at (561) 482-4554.

ANIMAL KEEPER FOR A DAY (No School Day)
Wednesday, December 28, 10:00 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Ever wondered what it would be like to be an animal keeper? Work behind the scenes* with Animal Care Staff and Volunteers. From cleaning cages and feeding diets to providing enrichment, learn what it really means to care for these special animal ambassadors. *Kids may get messy! 
 

Daggerwing Nature Center is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and is located in Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park at 11435 Park Access Road, off Cain Boulevard between Glades Road and Yamato Road, west of Boca Raton.
