All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated.  Please register online at www.pbcparks.com; under “Online Services” click on Register/Pay for Program, or visit the nature center to register and make payment. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program. Activities promote environmental awareness, conservation, and recreation. 

LIVE ANIMAL FEEDING PRESENTATIONS

ONC VISITS THE LIBRARY: SNAKES
Tuesday, May 9, 3:30-4:15 p.m.
Ages 5-12, FREE (Reservations required)
Join ONC Naturalists at the Greenacres Branch Library, as we learn all about our slithery friends! This hands-on experience will uncover many misconceptions about these legless critters. Call the Greenacres Library at (561) 641-9100 to pre-register for this program.

BIRDING 101
Saturday, May 13, 9:30-11:00 a.m.
Ages 15+, $3/participant (Reservations required)
Join ONC as we celebrate Global Big Day, an annual, single-day celebration of the birds around you! Our team of naturalists will teach participants the art of birdwatching and how to identify south Florida’s birds. Then you’ll apply your new-found knowledge during a walk and learn how to share your Global Big Day observations using eBird. Please bring your phone, as well as binoculars, otherwise loaner pairs will be available.

BIRD TALK: PURPLE MARTINS
Saturday, May 20, 2:00-3:30 p.m.
Ages 15+, $3/participant (Reservations required)
Join the “Purple Martin Lady” and our team of naturalists as we celebrate Purple Martin Awareness Month this May and learn about the life cycle of these long-distance migrants, their unique relationship with humans, and how you can help ensure the future of Purple Martins. 
 
ARCHERY FOR BEGINNERS
Saturday, May 27, 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. 
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Join USA Archery certified instructors and learn the basics of archery, from safety to shooting, and develop a great new skill! All equipment is provided. Space is limited and sign up now before it fills up!

ADVANCED ARCHERY**
Wednesday, May 31, 9:30-11:00 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
**Prerequisite: Must have completed Archery for Beginners**
This program is for those already familiar with the basics of archery. Develop your archery skills further, as USA Archery certified instructors teach advanced techniques and practice aim and precision. All equipment is provided. Space is limited, so register now before it fills up!
