All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated.  Please register online at www.pbcparks.com; under “Online Services” click on Register/Pay for Program, or visit the nature center to register and make payment. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program. Activities promote environmental awareness, conservation, and recreation.

ANIMAL FEEDINGS
Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 3:30 p.m.

ALLIGATOR FEEDINGS
Saturdays, 1:00 p.m.

FAMILY OWL PROWL
Tuesday, August 1, 7:30-9:00 p.m. 
Families/all ages, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Meet a few of our nocturnal animal ambassadors up-close and learn about other animals that prowl our forest after dark. Then we’ll go outside to explore the Pine Flatwoods to look and listen for wildlife, with a Super Moon to light our way!

LEAPING LIZARDS
Saturday, August 12, 2:00-3:30 p.m.
Families/all ages, $3/participant (Reservations required)
Join us as we celebrate World Lizard Day, with special guests from the South Florida Herpetological Society, to learn about our native and non-native lizards! This hands-on experience will allow participants to learn the habits, diets and unique adaptations of these scaly critters.

ONC VISITS THE LIBRARY: ALLIGATORS IN AUGUST
Tuesday, August 22, 3:00-3:45 p.m.
Ages 5-12, FREE (Pre-registration required)
It’s hatching season for baby alligators in Florida! Join staff and animal ambassadors from Okeeheelee Nature Center, to learn all about the importance of alligators, the species they help benefit in their habitat, and interact with a live baby gator and one additional reptile species! Call the Wellington Branch Library at 561-790-6070 or visit www.pbclibrary.org to pre-register. 

SUPERSTARS OF THE NIGHT
Tuesday, August 29, 8:00-9:30 p.m.
Ages 8+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Naturalists will lead the group on a night hike to search for the superstars of the night– nocturnal animals. Then, participants will get a chance to explore the night sky with telescopes led by our special guest, an astronomy extraordinaire from the Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches!
