What: Inaugural Blind Sports Day of Palm Beach County – a unique opportunity for all community members to experience sports for individuals with visual impairment and blindness. This event is in partnership with Endless Possibilities for the Disabled, Inc.
Adults and children (ages 6+), with or without visual impairment or blindness, are invited to a FREE interactive day playing four different blind sports: Beep Baseball, Beep Kickball, Boccia and Goalball. All participants will receive an eyeshade that they will use while participating in the sports throughout the day. Eyeshades are used when playing sports designed for individuals who are blind or visually impaired to help ensure that everyone participating has the same level of vision during the games.
Participants will also have the opportunity to meet local community athletes who currently participate in these sports.

The CMAA Therapeutic Recreation Complex, operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department, provides a variety of adapted sports for youth and adults so that every person, regardless of ability, has an equal opportunity to participate in sports and recreation in their community. Adapted sports give athletes with physical and visual impairments avenues to develop independence, confidence, and fitness through participation in community sports, including competition, recreation and educational programs.
