Rebecca Schnirman, Director of the Financial and Support Services Division for the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department, was recently elected as Vice President of Finance for the Florida Recreation and Park Association (FRPA) and was sworn in during FRPA’s Annual Conference on August 30, 2023 in Orlando, Florida. FRPA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion, preservation, and advocacy of the Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Services profession, and aims to establish parks and recreation as a cornerstone of health, economic development, environmental sustainability, and community throughout the state of Florida.
Elected as Vice President of Finance for FRPA by its members, Rebecca will be responsible for establishing procedures for fiscal operations, monitoring revenues and expenditures, and ensuring that sound financial decisions are made on behalf of the association.
