All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated. Please register online at www.pbcparks.com​ under “Online Services” click on Register/Pay for Program, or visit the nature center to register and make payment. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program. Activities promote environmental awareness, conservation, recreation, and educate on health and wellness in the community​.

BIRD TALK & TOUR:  PURPLE MARTINS
Saturday, March 2, 9:30 a.m.
All ages, $5/participant (Reservations required, limit 20)          
Start the day off with a Florida bird presentation followed by a one-hour birding tour with one of our naturalists. Bring binoculars and your field guide if you have them.

SCIENCE FOR SENIORS: MEET THE MARTINS: AMERICA’S MOST BELOVED TENANTS
Friday, March 8, 1:00 p.m.
Ages 50+, $5/participant (Reservations required, limit 50)
Purple Martins are one of North America’s most loved birds for many reasons; their chattering song, social antics, aerial acrobatics and insect-eating habits. Long ago, Native Americans hung up hollowed-out gourds to attract nesting Purple Martins. Today, they are dependent on the hospitality of human landlords for their survival in the East. No other species has its fate intertwined with humans as Purple Martins do. Learn about the life cycle of these long-distance migrants, their unique relationship with people and conservation efforts in Palm Beach County.

ARCHERY 101
Saturday, March 16, 10:00 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required, limit 12)
Join a USA Archery Certified Instructor to learn the basics of archery and develop a fun new skill! This 1.5-hour program will start with a demonstration followed by target practice! All equipment provided, please wear closed-toe shoes and bring water and sun protection as it takes place outdoors. 
 
SCIENCE FOR SENIORS: ETHNOBOTANY TALK & TOUR
Friday, March 22, 1:00 p.m.
Ages 50+, $5/participant (Reservations required, limit 50)
Classroom presentation on the history of pre-Columbian Palm Beach County Native American culture followed by a short boardwalk tour on the identification of plants and their use by Native American people.

NIGHT STALKERS 
Wednesday, March 27, 7:30 p.m.
Ages 9+, $5/participant (Reservations required, limit 20)         
Join a naturalist on a nighttime boardwalk tour looking at nature from the point of view of its nocturnal residents. Flashlights are recommended, but not required.

REPTILES & AMPHIBIANS:  SENSATIONAL SNAKES
Saturday, March 30, 10:00 a.m.
All ages, $5/participant (Reservations required, limit 20)
Join a naturalist as we learn about Florida’s reptiles and amphibians followed by a guided tour.
