Celebrate Earth Day at Okeeheelee Nature Center

​What: Celebrate Earth Day at this FREE, special event with a variety of activities scheduled throughout the day! Activities will promote environmental awareness, conservation, recreation, and educate on health and wellness in the community. Come on your own or bring the family to celebrate one of the most important milestones in conservation history with your local nature center! Enjoy live animal encounters, eco-friendly crafts, environmental presentations, guided nature walks, meet and greets with Oakly, the PBC Parks and Recreation mascot and the PBSO Mounted Unit, a rehabilitated animal release, raffles to benefit the Friends of Okeeheelee Nature Center, food trucks, environmental exhibitors and vendors and much more! Come and explore all the nature center has to offer since its opening in 1992. This year’s Earth Day event is sponsored by the Friends of Okeeheelee Nature Center.
