What: Watch history unfold as this event focuses on the two engagements that occurred during the 2nd Seminole War in the park in January of 1838, with the main battle re-enactment focusing on the larger engagement that occurred on January 24, 1838. Dressed re-enactors will revive the battle that occurred between the U.S. and the Seminoles. The Loxahatchee Battlefield preservationists will take to the field during the re-enactment and also guide battlefield tours throughout the day. The re-enactment itself will start at 2:00 p.m. with opening remarks followed by the battle. Also on-site will be exhibitors, weapons demonstrations, speakers of period history and archaeology, and food trucks.
