The Recreation Assistance Program is a perfect example of intergovernmental partnerships and the pooling of resources throughout the County for projects that directly benefit the community. Each County Commissioner receives $200,000 annually for “recreational” discretionary projects such as playgrounds, parks, community centers, after-school programs and cultural programs.
