![]() Chief Clay Walker Manalapan Police Department Clay Walker is a native Floridian who grew up in the Town of Clewiston located on the southern end of Lake Okeechobee. After completing high school, Mr. Walker received an A.S. degree in Law Enforcement from Palm Beach Junior College and went on to earn a B.S. degree in Criminology from Florida State University in 1977. After spending a year with the Clewiston Police Department, Clay Walker served a 21-year career with the North Palm Beach Public Safety Department rising to the rank of Lieutenant. During this time, Mr. Walker received numerous hours of specialized training in all aspects of law enforcement management and served on numerous county and state boards and committees. In October 1999, Clay Walker was appointed to be the Director of Public Safety for the Town of Manalapan and continues to serve the local law enforcement community on various assignments, one being the Chairman for the Palm Beach County Law Enforcement Planning Council for the year 2003. |
