Chief Rick Lincoln
Lantana Police Department
Rick Lincoln joined the Delray Beach Police Department in 1973 after receiving his B.A. degree in English from Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. After rising through the ranks and serving one year as the Interim Chief of Police, he retired as a Major in 1996. Mr. Lincoln served the next four years at the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office as the Director of Law Enforcement. After a brief assignment at the Office of the State Attorney as coordinator of the Money Laundering Task Force, Mr. Lincoln was appointed Chief of Police for the Lantana Police Department in April, 2001. Mr. Lincoln has received extensive training in his law enforcement career and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, the Senior Management Institute for Police, and the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute Chief Executive Seminar. An active member of Kiwanis, Mr. Lincoln is very involved in the LEPC and is a past Chair. He is a past president of the Palm Beach County Association of Chiefs of Police where he serves on the Executive Board.
