800 MHz / Radio Section is responsible for the Administration, Maintenance, and
Technical Support for the County-Wide 800 MHZ. Trunked Radio System
(TRS) and the lagacy UHF/VHF radio systems, pagers, and other wireless
communication responsibilities. The 800 MHz System provides County-Wide 2-way radio
communications for all County Agencies in Palm Beach County.

800 MHz. TRS is a 28 Channel, 10 Tower Site Simulcast Motorola Radio System that
is designed to provide seamless portable and mobile radio coverage
throughout Palm Beach County. The system provide
better than 97% County-Wide in-building portable coverage throughout the
2500 square mile County. The Coverage

The System is managed and maintained by
Palm Beach County’s Electronic Services 800 MHz Group. The 800 MHz
group consists of a System Administrator, Communications Planner, and Radio
services personnel. The group is responsible for overseeing the maintenance
of the system, coordination of the County users, and arranging for
Interlocal Agreements with non-County agencies requesting access to the

Presentation was given to the Palm Beach County Law Enforcement
Planning Council (LEPC) to advise the Chief's of Police and other Law
Enforcement Agencies the status of the Palm Beach County's Radio
Communication Interoperability.
