The Server Administration Services area has the responsibility for maintaining all Enterprise servers in Palm Beach County. The goal of Server Services is to provide a stable and secure environment for our customer and internal data resources. This responsibility includes server evaluation, procurement, installation, management, operational support, monitoring, backup and recovery.
Multiple platforms are supported by Server Services including Linux, Netware, Unix, Windows NT and Windows 2000/3. The administration of Countywide system software is also handled by Server Services including the Countywide E-mail system and the Crystal information and report writing system. The Countywide Web development environment is also supported by the Server Services Web team.
