Commissioner Vana Attends REAP Event in BCC Chambers

On April 21, 2009, Commissioner Shelley Vana attended a wrap-up event for the Office of Community Revitalization’s educational course on community revitalization and civic engagement. At the event, Commissioner Vana helped provide information about county government by answering questions from participants.

The Resident Education Action Program (REAP) is a six-week course intended to help community residents who are interested in improving their neighborhood. This year’s course was entitled “Civic Engagement: A Call to Action.” 

Participants gathered in the Board of County Commissioners Chambers to make short presentations summarizing their projects being proposed for America’s Next Top Neighborhood Award Grant Program applications.
