At his monthly community forum on May 21, Commissioner Jess Santamaria continued his call for compromise and cooperation throughout the western communities of Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, The Acreage and Loxahatchee Groves.

Guest speakers included Loxahatchee Groves Mayor Dave Browning and Mike Erickson, board president of the Indian Trail Improvement District, which provides roads, drainage and park services throughout The Acreage and Loxahatchee.

Discussion topics included traffic impacts from outside growth, maintaining rural character, limiting density, the need for open government and public involvement, and improving relationships with other governmental entities.

As an added treat, members of the Binks Forest Elementary School Spring Chorus entertained with a lively set of patriotic and traditional favorites.
