Commissioner Greene Backs Boynton Beach High School Chorus

The talented members of Dimensional Harmony, the award-winning Boynton Beach High School chorus, will be packing their bags for New York City, thanks to County Commission Chairperson Addie Greene.

Commissioner Greene presented the young singers with a check for $50,000 in recreation assistance program (RAP) funds, so the group can perform at Carnegie Hall in January.

Choral Director Stirling Frederick said the ensemble has been invited to participate in Carnegie Hall’s high school concert series in past years, but couldn’t raise enough money. He decided to ask Commissioner Greene for help with travel expenses, to which she replied emphatically, “you’re going!”

Dimensional Harmony performed for the County Commission during a board meeting back in December, “and it brought tears to my eyes,” Commissioner Greene recalled. “They are so talented and so deserving, and it is my pleasure to be able to help them realize this dream.”
