Commissioner Abrams Attends Fire Station Grand-Opening Ceremony

On Thursday, May 14, Commissioner Abrams participated in the ribbon cutting and grand-opening ceremony for Fire Station #56 located at 6250 SW 18th St. in Boca Raton. Funding for this station began in 2003. The station was built to serve the 11,500 citizens in the area and will reduce emergency response times to their homes by approximately three minutes. The call load in this station’s coverage area is expected to average 2,300 calls per year.
