District 6 County Commissioner Jess Santamaria will host a special Glades area community forum on Wednesday, June 25, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dolly Hand Cultural Center, 1977 SW College Drive, Belle Glade.

The topics will be hurricane preparedness and uniting the Glades Communities. Invited speakers include Assistant County Administrator Vince Bonvento, director of Palm Beach County Public Safety, and the mayors of Belle Glade, Pahokee and South Bay -- Steve Wilson, Wayne Whitaker and Shirley Walker-Turner, respectively. Refreshments will be served.
