Residents and members of the news media are invited to attend the second Countywide Community Revitalization Team (CCRT) Community Connections meeting on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, hosted by the Palm Beach County Office of Community Revitalization (OCR). The meeting will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Vista Center (Room VC-1W-47), located at 2300 North Jog Road, in West Palm Beach.
CCRT Community Connections meetings are designed to enhance community civic engagement and public participation. The meeting’s agenda is comprised of the following segments: a commissioner forum, a mini workshop, department updates, and residents’ comments.
Palm Beach County Commission Chairman Jeff Koons will respond to questions from his constituents and share his personal views on the CCRT and neighborhood empowerment process, as well as how the county can help neighborhoods to be successful. Residents are encouraged to submit their questions in advance by e-mail at rmoguill@pbcgov.org or by calling OCR at 233-5303.
The topic of the mini workshop will be foreclosure prevention with Bonnie Conrad, from Housing Partnership, Inc.
All community residents are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
