Commissioner Santamaria to Host Glades Community Forum Oct. 8

On Thursday, October 8, from 6 to 8 p.m., District 6 County Commissioner Jess Santamaria will host a community forum at the Dolly Hand Cultural Center, 1977 SW College Drive, in Belle Glade. Discussion topics will include public safety, community redevelopment, the inland port and job creation, summer jobs, post-secondary adult vocation, and reports from the cities of Belle Glade, South Bay and Pahokee.

Invited speakers include Fire Rescue Chief Steve Jerauld, PBSO Major Tony Araujo, District 6 Liaison Michael Jackson, Houston Tate and Ruth Moguillansky-DeRose of the PBC Office of Community Revitalization and PBCC Glades Provost Dr. Marcia Hardney.
