Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control is now open for cat and kitten adoptions. Dog adoptions will continue to be closed because of the outbreak of upper respiratory infection at the shelter. Our veterinarian staff will continue to monitor the dogs during the week with plans to reopen dog adoptions Monday, November 9.
The shelter has a high number of young kittens and adult cats that are in need of good homes. Because of the amount of kittens available for adoption at the shelter, a special adoption fee is being offered starting Monday, November 2.
The special fee is $20 per cat or kitten. Visit the shelter located at 7100 Belvedere Road in West Palm Beach, just west of the Florida Turnpike. The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
