The Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) Program is sponsored by the State of Florida Transportation Disadvantaged Trust Fund. Service is provided anywhere in Palm Beach County during the same hours and days as Palm Tran fixed route bus service. To become eligible for TD service, the applicant must submit proof of income,
or a physician completed medical verification form and their completed application. The fare is $3.00 per one-way trip unless eligible for the Transportation Disadvantaged Subsidy Program, which is based upon Federal Poverty Guidelines.
EFFECTIVE October 1, 2008, Transortation Disadvantaged Subsidy (TDS) Program eligible customers using Palm Tran CONNECTION will be required to pay a $2.00 fare for each one-way trip. |
Also beginning October 1, 2008, non-essential trips provided under both the Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) and TDS Programs will be reduced. This will not affect trips provided for Medical, Employment,
Food Shopping, Nutritional, Adult Day Care, Educational or Training purposes. Trips requested by TD and TDS Program customers for purposes other than those previously listed will be booked on a limited first come, first served basis.
