Millage is the tax rate used to calculate your ad
valorem taxes. One mil equals $1 for every $1,000 of taxable property value. If
your millage rate is 20.49, then you are paying $20.49 in taxes for every
$1,000 of taxable property value.
Millage rates are set each year by the taxing authorities you pay. Your Total
Millage Rate is the total of all taxing authority millages. The list of taxing
authorities applied to each property is listed under the Tax Detail for that
property.
Preliminary millage rates are set in August of each year, and final rates are
set in October in time for the November 1st mailing of the Tax Bills.
Tax Roll data submitted to the Department of Revenue, such as property values and parcel counts for each taxing authority, also is available here.
