Teachers, in addition to our fieldtrip and outreach programs, we also offer other FREE opportunities for you and your students.
Resources Available To Teachers
Attention teachers! Don’t have the money to get expensive hands-on tools for your class? Would you like to incorporate environmental education into your curriculum but don’t have the resources? Come take advantage of our supply! We have a variety of nature-related supplies for you to borrow including models, microscope slides, animal artifacts (skulls, furs, skeletons, etc.), books, and more! Give us a call to set up an appointment for you to come look through our collection!
Schoolyard Wildlife Habitats
Daggerwing staff is willing to come to your facility and work with you and your students in creating wildlife habitats in your schoolyard that classes can study! From butterfly gardens to bird sanctuaries, we can work with you on beautifying your schoolyard and making them into living laboratories for your science lessons. Other subjects, such as writing, art, social studies, etc. can also be incorporated into lessons, and staff can help you design curriculum to include these topics.
Student Artwork Display
Show the community how talented your students are! Daggerwing has an art gallery available for classes to display their nature related artwork to our visitors!

- Develop lessons that use the schoolyard as a teaching resource.
- Develop environmental projects with their students to give a hands-on approach to learning sunshine state standards.
