Volunteer Opportunities

 


Do you love nature? Do you like to have fun? Are you a "people person"? Do you want to make a difference? If you answered YES to any of these questions, there is a place for you at Green Cay Nature Center! We have a variety of volunteer opportunities for those willing to help.

DOCENT
Educate visitors about the exhibits and the wetlands through ways such as leading guided tours and assisting with teaching programs.

FRONT DESK GREETER
Welcome visitors, answer phones, and answer questions about the Nature Center.

GIFT SHOP CASHIER
Welcome visitors, assist visitors with products, and complete sales.

NEWSLETTER ASSISTANT
Assists with research, writes articles for the newsletter and website, and assists with special objects.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT 
Assist in developing and conducting research about species found in the wetlands.

Tuesday thru Friday mornings, variable

Time requirements vary by position, but generally, volunteers come in approximately once a week for about two (2) hours. If you are interested in helping, please contact Eva, Volunteer Coordinator, at (561) 966-7000.
