MAY

  • RAPTOR CHAPTER
    Saturday, May 3, 11:00 am - All ages (families), $3 per person
    Prepare to be amazed as we introduce you to our resident birds of prey. See these birds up close and develop an appreciation for their role in the environment. Reservations Required.

  • MOMMY and ME FROG CHORUS
    Saturday, May 10, 1:30 pm
    - Ages 3 - 7, $3 per child, Mom is FREE!
    Grab your Mom and a lily pad and listen to a froggy story while we get interactive and make our very own frog chorus. After we make a craft together there will be a special surprise for you and Mom! Reservations Required.

  • SUNSET SAFARI
    Friday, May 16, 7:00 pm
    - Ages 7 and older, $3 per person
    When the sun goes down, some animals in our Pine Forest are just starting to wake up. Come on our evening hike to find out which animals stay up all night long! Reservations Required.

JUNE

  • TOUCH TANK
    Saturday, June 7, 11:00 am - Ages 5 and older, $3 per person
    Ever wonder what starfish, horseshoe crabs, urchins, and other “creepy crawlies” feel like?  Explore the Nature Center’s touch tank and learn about these amazing underwater creatures! Reservations Required.

  • DEER WALK
    Saturday, June 21, 9:00 am
    - Ages 7 and older, $3 per person
    Elevate your appreciation of nature as you learn about Whitetail Deer behavior and see the herd up close. Great photo ops abound! Each session is limited to 10 people. Reservations Required.

  • DIP-NETTING DAZE
    Saturday, June 28, 1:00 pm
    - Ages 7 and older, $3 per person
    Explore the shore of our pond with net in hand to capture small fish, shrimp and other aquatic insects. We'll examine our catch with hand lenses and microscopes and learn about their aquatic adaptations. *Please wear closed toed shoes that can get wet. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations Required.

    Can't make the date in June or just want to see the program again? Join us in July for antother Touch Tank! Explore the Nature Center's touch tank and learn about these amazing underwater creatures! There's always something new to discover. Reservations Required.

  • DISCOVER OKEEHEELEE'S NATIVES
    Saturday, July 26, 1:00 pm
    - All Ages, $3 per person
    Are you a Florida native? Meet our resident wildlife up close and personal. Discover how these natives play an important role in the environment. Reservations Required.
