Canoe launch on Loxahatchee River is located behind Canoe Outfitters trailer. Private canoes/kayaks need to carry or wheel their boats to launch from parking lot.
Over 5 miles of navigable waterways within the park
NOTE - These trails are navigable during normal to high water times. During drought conditions these trails close, due to lack of water.
Bring Your own canoe/kayak or rent from Canoe Outfitters
Upper Section – Paddle under cypress canopy down stream then paddle back upstream
Approximately 2 hours round trip paddling time to Masten Dam
Approximately 3 hours round trip paddling time to Turnpike
Full River Trip – Paddle under cypress canopy down stream, continue past Trapper Nelsons to where the river opens into the tidal zone. Portage near the canoe rental boat ramp in Jonathan Dickenson State Park.
Loxahatchee River is 8 miles long and takes approximately 5 to 7 hours.
Canoe Outfitters offers this trip on weekends only and will provide transportation back to Riverbend Park.
Visitors with private canoes/kayaks will need to provide their own transportation back to Riverbend Park or paddle back down river.
