Sawmill Saturdays at Riverbend Park Saturday, November 21, 2009, 9:00-11:30 am, Free Demonstration For immediate release: October 28, 2009 The usually quiet Riverbend Park in Jupiter will awaken to the whir of engines and buzz of saws on the third Saturday of each month. Volunteer sawyers will operate the historic 1930 Sawmill in the Farmstead. This free program is open to the public and will demonstrate how early Florida settlers cut their own lumber to build their homes and barns. Park in the main parking area and follow the signs to the Farmstead, about a half-mile walk or bike ride. For more information, please call JoAnna at (561) 966-6686. Riverbend Park is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and is located at 9060 Indiantown Road in Jupiter, one mile west of the Florida Turnpike/I-95 exits on the south side of the road.
