Calm After Storm

By Sasha Chernyshenko
Acrylic on Canvas

30” x 40”
Price: $150

Hi, I’m a refugee from Ukraine, I came here after war has been started. With blue and yellow colors in this piece of art I tried to relate the theme "light in the dark" to the war in my country and to show how every day people wake up after bombing and when they come out from shelters they see the light of hope that each morning sun gives them after dark tough night.

Clouds over Palm Beach

By Ayesha DeLorenzo
Oil on Canvas

48” x 36”
Price: $5,800

I love to paint South Florida's seas and skies especially after a storm has just passed leaving remnants of spent storm clouds in shades of violet grays slowly evaporating into the newly washed cobalt and cerulean blue skies sheltering the beautiful hues of the ocean and the myriads of ways light touches it. I take photographs for reference but often paint from the memory. My paintings are realistic, some say photo realistic, because of all the details. For me, it's all in the details.

Drowning Growth

By Stephanie “Alyrical” Gowdy
Acrylic on Canvas

48” x 60”
Price: $1,250

I am a legally blind artist whose artwork is a combination of mediums that typically express emotions that are usually difficult to vocalize. Often referencing African American women, my work explores the relationships between popular culture and fine art.

EtherSphere

By Susan Oakes
Photograph College on Canvas

40” x 30”
Price: $1,200

I am a freelance digital artist/instructor with a diverse background in psychology, business, art and technology. Through my work and teaching, I demonstrate that art and technology should be used to enhance each other. I blur the borders between photography, painting, and digital illustration to achieve my artistic vision. Using my original photography and illustration I create composites of several photos, and illustrations using layering, painting, blending and masking to draw the viewer's eye around the piece to discover the individual elements and how they coalesce to form the whole.

Summer in the City

By Elle Schorr
Photograph on Gloss Paper

31” x 41”
Price: $1,600

Elle Schorr's multiple perspective / single exposure photographs are urban landscapes in which she seeks to capture the energy of the city using shadow and light on reflective surfaces. Looking in to carefully arranged window displays and looking out to the reflected people, cars, architecture and signage, she creates stories of time and place, people and place, hopes, dreams and aspirations. These photographs weave together inner and outer worlds, where they collide, overlap and interfere: chance convergences that sometimes defy logic, and enter the realm of mystery.

With Light, There's Color

Gabe Curry
Mixed Media on Canvas

30” x 48”
Price: $300

The theme is ''Let there be light.'' My art piece shows that with that light comes color and that is displayed through my art style using spray paints and other acrylic paints.

Daylight Dancing

By Stanley Dornfest
Oil on Canvas

48” x 36”
Price: $2,600

Painting nature encourages me to paint light, color, and atmosphere and the emotional response it generates in my soul The feeling created by the light enveloping the flora and the shadows enriching the flora, result in an enchanting dance between between the two. Transparent highlights are created as the light travels through the flora...other areas are deeper and more sensuous as the colors shift and intertwine in a symphonic duet The painting involves the viewer in this journey of color ant light and the resulting emotional experience.

Cotton Candy Sky

By Anthea Kerou
Mixed Media on Wood

30” x 40”
Price: $1,990

As an artist, I use a variety of mediums to explore themes of purity, communication, inspiration, and rebirth. I focus on the sacred and the forgotten, and the wild expansion of the imagination. I strive to create art that transforms and transcends difficult emotions, and that has a unique energy and presence that can be felt by the viewer.

Misty night on the Daugava (Riga, Latvia)

By Jamie Rodriguez
Mixed Media on Canvas

48” x 36”
Price: $8,000

Misty Night on the Daugava is a painting that depicts the shimmering city lights of Riga in the distance on a dark late night misty fog off the Daugava River. I attempt to capture the fleeting effects of the city lights, the impressions and reawakening of a atmospheric scene to create a distorted expressionist disharmony of landscape and natural perception.

Binding Light

By Gwenn Seuling
Pastel on Paper

30” x 30”
Price: $500

The banana flower is made of so many parts that I knew I had to draw it. I focused here on the play of light throughout the arrangement: how the petals, the stem, the inflorescence, and the bananas each have their own texture yet belong together so completely. It is the way the light hits it that holds it together and makes the banana flower seem to "glow" and to almost seem otherworldly. I f you think about it, isn't it the light that holds us all together?

Paige with a Beach Ball

By Kris Davis
Oil on Canvas

50” x 30”
Price: $3,000

With a deep love and appreciation for water, my oil paintings depict the beautiful water we are surrounded by here in our tropical paradise. My water series captures the play between water and light. The sun is constantly creating this wonderful rhythmic pattern in the water. Figures create movement of light and shadow in water above and below the surface. In this painting, I was inspired by my daughter as she soaked up the sun.

Pine Island Sunset

By Shari Gerson
Photograph on Metal

30” x 40”
Price:$1,000

It was a beautiful sunset on the magical island of Pine Island, on Florida's west coast. The rich colors and hues lit up the sky, magnified by the sea below.

By the Light of the Moon

By Cynthia Oakes
Photograph on Canvas

30” x 40”
Price: $1,200

By the Light of the Moon captures the warm tropical Florida night. Gentle breezes flow through the palm tree as we look skyward through the fronds at the shimmering light of the full moon. It dances over the flickering leaves with color and creates fluffy glows of the swiftly moving clouds.

Ibis Red Three

By Helga Ruopp
Acrylic on Canvas

36” x 30”
Price: $2,500

'Let There Be Light' is a destination. A place of warmth and brightness. As I visualize the ibis flying in unison toward the light, the rush of wind against their feathers, the sound of wings flapping in unison, moving in perfect harmony, a shared purpose guiding their flight. Seeking food or a safe place to build their nests. Simply enjoying the freedom of flight and the joy of being alive. Whatever their goal, it's clear that they are determined to reach it, no matter what obstacles lie in their path.

Lake Portal

By SueAnn Walentuk
Oil on Canvas

30 x 40”
Price: $2,800

I once lived on the border of Italy and Switzerland in the Lakes region. Summer weekends were often spent exploring the little villages and towns there. Surrounded by the snowy Alps, the light along the lakes is dazzling. As I came around the corner of a passageway, the warm orange glow of ancient walls juxtaposed with the coolness of the blue lake beyond the arched doorway captured my attention. I quickly recorded the light and color contrasts in my sketchbook. "Lake Portal" was born and forever etched in my memory.
