most active Federal agencies involved in brownfield
redevelopment are the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and
Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
EPA
offers assistance for environmental assessments to qualifying

regarding the application and eligibility criteria.

qualifying areas, HUD has programs that allow use of Community
Development Block Grant funds for brownfield assessment,
