Renew for 2 NOW!

Tax Collector Anne Gannon is promoting a cost-saving payment strategy to recession-weary vehicle owners. The “Renew for 2 NOW!” plan applies to all vehicle registration renewals due between now and November.

The Florida Legislature has increased fees for vehicle registration. That means that on September 1, 2009, Florida vehicle registration fees will increase approximately 35% to 60% (depending on the type of registration). These fees fund the State of Florida’s budget, they are not local Palm Beach County fees.

Renew NOW for 2 years and avoid these increases until your next renewal in 2011. Vehicle owners with renewal dates between now and November must act before September 1 to capture these savings.

Click the Renew for 2 License plate for more information.
To Renew for 2 Now, click the “Motor Vehicle Registration Renewal” button now!

Holiday Office Closing

The Tax Collector’s Office will be closed on Friday July 3, 2009 in observance of the Fourth of July.

Offices will reopen on Monday July 6, 2009. More Information on 2009 Holiday Schedule

Ethics Initiatives

Before ethics became headlines, Tax Collector Gannon implemented measures beyond what the law allows to protect her office from questionable practices. Immediately after she was elected in 2006, Tax Collector Gannon implemented an agency-wide “No Gift Policy”. On January 28, 2009 the Tax Collector’s Office joined Leadership Palm Beach County in hosting an Office-wide signing of a joint Tax Collector and Palm Beach County Ethics Pledge, which every staff member has been asked to sign. It is our commitment to reach beyond talking about ethics by practicing it with each transaction we undertake.
